As rewarding as they can be, high tech careers are a moving target. Year after year, job descriptions are updated to include the latest requirements based on today’s design and security standards. Professionals in these fields are faced with the challenge of continuing their education to keep their skills relevant or evolving toward obsoletion.

Eugene is home to a long list of talented high tech professionals, many of whom are willing to share their insight on what it takes to grow a fulfilling career in one of the most dynamic and enigmatic industries. On Wednesday May 29th, we invite you to join the conversation.

We will be hosting a panel and several small-group breakout discussions with experienced local professionals from a variety of high tech niches, including data analysis, intelligence design, cybersecurity, transgenic research, GIS/mapping, and several other engineering/computing specialty fields. They will share their experiences developing their career and the unique challenges they faced along the way.

Participate in one of the breakout discussions based on special topics of interest. Engage with local experts, discover what these professionals deal with on a daily basis as well as what they face in the quest toward career development.

Please register for a ticket if you plan to attend.

Light food options are provided with your ticket and a cash bar will be available for anyone interested in purchasing an adult beverage. Any portion of ticket sales that exceeds event costs will go toward developing educational opportunities for local women in technology.

WorkSource Lane, Apprenti, and Elevate Lane County will be on-site and available to answer questions about their programs.
